Wallet connection is not the same as a mining payout address

A website can use the word “mining” while asking for very different permissions. Read the actual wallet action, not just the button label.
Public receiving address
A conventional GPU pool needs a compatible miner connection and a receiving address on the correct coin network. A public address identifies a payout destination; it is not a recovery phrase or a private key. Address visibility and transaction privacy vary by chain.
Connect wallet
Connecting may reveal accounts or let a site ask for further actions. It does not automatically mean you granted a token-spending allowance. It also does not certify the site. Review the wallet's account and permission information and the known domain independently.
Token approval or signed message
An approval can authorize a contract to spend assets. A signed message can also carry consequential permissions, including some off-chain authorization flows; “no gas fee” does not establish safety. Check the requested scope and the recipient or contract. If the request is unclear, do not sign merely to enable a promised payout.
Disconnecting is not always revoking
Removing a site's wallet connection may not remove a spending allowance already recorded or an authorization already signed. Follow the wallet publisher's current permission and revocation guidance for the actual wallet and network. No checklist can confirm that all access has been removed.
Withdrawal fees and recovery offers
An unexpected demand to send more cryptocurrency to unlock displayed earnings is a serious warning sign. A dashboard balance alone is not proof that funds exist. Legitimate network fees and a pool's disclosed payout rules should be checked independently; paying an unsolicited “tax” or “verification deposit” does not establish a right to withdraw.
If you already sent funds or exposed recovery material, stop using the requesting site's instructions and use official wallet/provider and reporting channels. Do not give an alleged recovery agent your recovery phrase or private keys.
